About this program

The Hawai‘i Community Foundation’s Medical Research Program provides annual grants to support basic and clinical medical research and research infrastructure that benefit the people of Hawai‘i. Funded areas include cancer, aging-related diseases, heart disease, immunology, genetics, type I diabetes, blindness prevention and other locally relevant biomedical topics, with support from donors such as the Leahi Fund and the Victoria S. and Bradley L. Geist Foundation. Eligible applicants are principal investigators conducting research in Hawai‘i; applications and associated files must be submitted online through HCF’s Grants Portal (first-time applicants must create an account).
