Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society offers a $9,000 two-year Medical Student Service Leadership Project Grant ($5,000 in year one and $4,000 in year two) to support new student-led service-learning projects that develop leadership through mentorship, curriculum, and service to underserved populations or professionalism initiatives. Funds are paid to the sponsoring medical institution, with no indirect costs, and applications are due February 16, 2027. Eligible applicants are student teams at medical schools with an AΩA chapter or association, with only one team eligible for nomination per school; teams including AΩA members and institutional matching funds receive priority. Projects must be new or substantially new components, include a faculty mentor and structured leadership development, and submit required institutional, dean, mentor, budget, and endorsement materials.
