About this program

Medtronic’s External Research Program provides funding support for investigator‑sponsored studies that advance scientific and clinical knowledge related to Medtronic products, therapies, or services with the aim of improving patient care and clinical outcomes. The program is open to Sponsor‑Investigators—individuals who both initiate and conduct an independently developed protocol—and requests must include a protocol and be focused on a Medtronic product/service/therapy. Applicants must assume full sponsor responsibilities (including securing regulatory and institutional approvals and ensuring data integrity), as Medtronic serves only as a supporter and does not direct study design, conduct, or outcomes.
