Memorial Grants

About this program

NGC (a foundation) offers Memorial Grants to directly support grassland conservation research with one-year, unrestricted awards usable for direct or indirect costs, including salary; some named memorial grants carry specific amounts or are restricted to particular taxa or new research initiatives. Eligible applicants are Latin American researchers affiliated with a university, museum, or conservation organization, with preference for those who previously participated in NGC’s Student Grant or Research Equipment programs and submitted final reports. Applicants must describe how the proposed work will impact grassland conservation; applications are reviewed by outside reviewers and board members and final decisions are made at the annual board meeting, with an application deadline of March 1 (year not specified).
