About this program

METAvivor Research Foundation is funding mechanistic, diagnostic, and therapeutic research into metastatic breast cancer, including studies addressing treatment side effects and quality-of-life improvements. Awards for 2026 include a Translational Research Award (up to $450,000 total over three years) for established investigators, an Early Career Investigator Award (up to $200,000 total over two years) for investigators within 10 years of their terminal degree and within six years of starting their first non‑tenured faculty position, and a Research Advisor’s Award for members of METAvivor’s Scientific Advisory Board. Applicants must hold a clinical doctoral degree or a doctoral degree and be actively engaged in metastatic breast cancer research or treatment; early career applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (approximately 30% of LOIs will be invited to submit full applications).
