About this program
The Michele Aldrich History and Philosophy of Geology Student Research Award Fund, administered by the History and Philosophy of Geology Division of the Geological Society of America, provides grants to support historical research within the geosciences. Priority is given to doctoral students, then master’s students, and recent PhD recipients (within five years) may also be considered. Recipients are selected by the Division and applicants must be conducting historical research in the geosciences to be eligible.
