The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) offers the Michelle Grimes Memorial Grant to support new stenographic professionals who have recently earned their Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or Registered Skilled Reporter (RSR) certification. The grant honors Michelle Grimes, a dedicated stenographer from Illinois, by providing financial assistance to emerging professionals in the field. Eligibility is limited to current NCRA members within their first two years of reporting, working in judicial, CART, or captioning roles, with proof of certification and employment. Applicants must submit an application form, a letter of recommendation, and an essay on the role of stenographic court reporting in promoting fair trials, equality, and justice. Two grants of $2,000 each are awarded annually, with a deadline of June 13, 2025.
