Military Veterans Geoscience Scholarship Program

About this program

The AAPG Foundation’s Deana and Paul Strunk Military Veterans Geoscience Scholarship Program awards $5,000–$10,000 scholarships for undergraduate study in geoscience or related disciplines at accredited four-year colleges and universities. The program supports active-duty service members, veterans transitioning to civilian careers, and eligible military dependents, with applications accepted February 1 through April 30. Applicants must be active U.S. military members, including National Guard and Reserve personnel, or honorably discharged veterans pursuing or planning to pursue postsecondary geoscience education; eligible dependents include spouses and children of deceased, disabled, active, or veteran service members. Recipients may reapply the following year without restriction.
