Miller-Lanier-Central Foundation Scholarship Fund

About this program

Community Foundation of Central Georgia’s Miller-Lanier-Central Scholarship Fund provides annual college scholarships to graduating seniors of Central High School (Macon, GA), awarding $1,000 per year for up to four years with four awards distributed annually (one new recipient each year) and renewal possible for prior recipients who meet requirements. Applicants must be graduating Central High seniors accepted to an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational school, plan to enroll full-time the fall after graduation, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to students who demonstrate school pride and embody Central’s motto through school and community involvement; applicants must submit a short answer describing school pride and provide contact information for one reference to submit a recommendation. Selection factors include potential to succeed, personal character, extracurricular involvement, demonstrated financial need, and academic achievement.
