Million Dollar Bike Ride Pilot Grant Program for FOP Research

The International Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Association (IFOPA), in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania’s Orphan Disease Center, offered Million Dollar Bike Ride Pilot Grants to advance FOP research. Funded projects focused on identifying biomarkers and imaging methods for disease progression or treatment response, or elucidating FOP’s immunologic mechanisms. The international RFA was open to applicants with faculty-level appointments at academic institutions or senior scientific positions at nonprofit institutions or foundations; awardees could also access IFOPA’s FOP mouse model and biobank samples as needed.
