Maximizing Innovation in Neuroscience Discovery (MIND) Prize

About this program

Pershing Square Philanthropies’ MIND Prize supports innovative neuroscience research aimed at advancing understanding, prediction, prevention, and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. At least six awards provide $250,000 annually for three years ($750,000 total), along with access to a multidisciplinary research and networking community. The competition is intended for early- to mid-career investigators proposing bold, hypothesis-driven, high-risk/high-reward projects in areas such as neurobiology, brain imaging, machine learning, drug delivery, or synthetic biology. Projects may include tool development, screening, or clinical components, but should test a defined biological hypothesis and not center on human clinical trials or medical-device testing; Letters of Intent are due September 21, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. ET.
