MWRI Fellowship Program (Postdoctoral and Graduate Training)

About this program

Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI) at the University of Pittsburgh offers postdoctoral and graduate fellowships to support research and training in reproductive biology, reproductive development, and women’s and infants’ health, providing salary and standard fringe benefits and funding for one advanced University of Pittsburgh course for postdocs. Appointments are initially one year (subject to progress review) and may be renewed to a maximum of two years, with structured research, coursework, grant-writing, presentation opportunities, and required compliance and safety training. Eligible candidates are MWRI-affiliated new recruits or existing University of Pittsburgh graduate students and postdoctoral researchers (postdocs must hold an MD/PhD or equivalent and be within four years of their postdoctoral appointment; graduate students must be enrolled at Pitt and conduct their thesis under an MWRI faculty mentor); applications must be initiated by a faculty mentor and submitted to seskeyma@mwri.magee.edu, with standard receipt deadlines of June 30 and December 31.
