National Fund for Sacred Places

About this program

The National Fund for Sacred Places, a program of Partners for Sacred Places in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, provides planning grants, technical assistance, capacity building, and capital grants of up to $500,000. Funding supports the preservation, restoration, and long-term stewardship of historic houses of worship that serve their communities. Congregations and faith communities of any religious tradition, including those that do not use the term “congregation,” may apply. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to preserving a historic sacred place and strengthening its community-serving role.
