Nemours Visiting Student Scholars (VSS) Program — Funded opportunity for 4th-year medical students

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware (in partnership with Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University) offers a funded Visiting Student Scholars (VSS) Program providing supported pediatric clinical rotations for 4th‑year medical students who are committed to addressing healthcare disparities and promoting inclusive, culturally humble care. The program funds visiting scholars and seeks candidates who will advance inclusive excellence and improve care for populations facing barriers to optimal health. Eligible applicants are 4th‑year medical students who must complete the general online application (indicating VSS interest in the brief essay) and email a CV, USMLE/COMLEX score report, a personal statement (≤1,500 words) describing experience with diverse communities and career plans, and a medical school transcript to ume-dv@nemours.org. Completed applications are reviewed with acceptances announced in the summer, and all applicants will still be considered for an MS4 rotation even if not selected as funded scholars.
