Neurological Foundation Summer Studentship

About this program

The Neurological Foundation offers a tax-free NZ$9,000 Summer Studentship to support undergraduate and Honours students to gain research skills and experience in neuroscience and neurological research, with projects running at least 10 weeks over the summer at a New Zealand tertiary institution. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Honours degree and intending to enrol the following year, have identified a project and an eligible supervisor, and priority is given to those with little or no prior research experience. Applications are submitted via the Foundation’s Grants Management System with host-institution review and require an academic transcript, CVs and a Description of Proposed Research; stipend is paid in two instalments (final NZ$1,000 released after a final report) and previous Neurological Foundation studentship holders or those who have begun postgraduate study are ineligible.
