NewAmsterdam Pharma Young Researcher Award (YRA)

About this program

NewAmsterdam Pharma Medical Affairs offers the Young Researcher Award to fund early-career investigators pursuing clinical, basic, translational, AI or real-world evidence research in metabolic diseases—particularly hypercholesterolemia, lipid biology, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and lipoprotein metabolism. Awards provide $50,000 per year for up to two years (year-two funding contingent on satisfactory progress), are paid to the grantee’s academic or non‑profit institution, and may not duplicate ongoing NAP-supported research or involve obicetrapib or related compounds. Eligible applicants are clinical fellows, basic science post‑doctoral fellows, or junior faculty with no more than three years of post‑doctoral experience at award time, who are U.S. residents (U.S. citizens, permanent residents or holders of qualifying visas) and who will conduct the work under an experienced mentor at an eligible institution. Applications (institutional letter, mentor support, CV/NIH biosketch, and a research proposal) must be submitted via your MSL by April 1; awardees are notified May 1 and grants finalized by July 1 for disbursement.
