Next Generation Emergency Research Support Fund (ASEEES)

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, & Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) is running the Next Generation Emergency Research Support Fund, a $400,000 campaign to provide immediate relief for graduate students affected by federal and university funding cuts by supporting dissertation research in 2026–2028; planned awards include Next Generation Dissertation Research Fellowships (up to $28,000 each) and Dissertation Research Grants (up to $6,000 each), with named giving options and a $20,000 matching challenge. Administered by ASEEES (a U.S. 501(c)(3)), the campaign details intended distributions and donor pledge structures to sustain fellowships and grants.
