About this program
The NOVARTIS Foundation (Japan) for the Promotion of Science awards Novartis Research Grants to support creative research in the life sciences and related areas of chemistry and information science, providing approximately 35 grants of JPY 1,000,000 each for individual projects. Grants fund one-year projects beginning in April of the following year; applications are accepted from July through September and recipients are selected by the end of February. Applicants must be affiliated with and nominated by one of the institutions listed in the Table of Designated Nominating Institutions, and no cost sharing is required.
