Novartis Scholarship for UAB Master in Laboratory Animal Science and Welfare (Digital Home-Cage Monitoring Project)

About this program

Novartis is offering a €9,000 scholarship to support participation in the UAB Master in Laboratory Animal Science and Welfare and related project activities, including a 10‑day work placement at the Novartis Campus in Basel; the award is intended to cover approximately 45% of tuition and project-related expenses. The initiative focuses on digital home‑cage monitoring solutions and digital biomarkers, with potential hands‑on study development using on‑campus technologies such as DVC (Tecniplast), Actual Analytics and UID Matrix for mice and rats. Eligible applicants are veterinarians with at least one year of laboratory animal experience, with preference given to PhD students and ECLAM residents.
