Othmer Library Travel Grants

About this program

Othmer Library at the Science History Institute offers travel grants to support research and scholarly use of its primary materials, including rare and modern books, manuscripts, archival collections, oral histories, fine art, artifacts, and instruments. Grants provide $1,000 per week for research visits of up to two weeks (maximum $2,000) to help defray travel and accommodation costs. Eligible applicants are researchers and scholars who reside more than 75 miles (120 km) from Philadelphia and plan a research visit; applications and visits are accepted and approved on a rolling basis.
