Outstanding Accounting Educator Award

About this program

The American Accounting Association, supported by PwC US Group LLP, is soliciting nominations for the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award to honor sustained contributions that have significantly impacted accounting education; recipients receive $5,000 (divided if multiple), a citation at the AAA Annual Meeting, and PwC will donate an additional $5,000 to AAA in the recipient’s name to be allocated per the recipient’s direction. Eligible nominees must be AAA members who are full‑time faculty or recent retirees (within five years) and be at a career point demonstrating significant sustained impact; AAA Board members or nominees for office are ineligible while serving and committee members must recuse if nominated. Nominations (self-nominations encouraged) must include a nomination letter organized by the award criteria—educational innovation, teaching excellence, relevant publications, mentorship, and service—supporting evidence (e.g., letters from students, alumni, colleagues) and the candidate’s CV.
