Partners in Science 2.0 Grants

About this program

The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust’s Partners in Science Grants support collaborations between secondary science teachers and academic scientists, providing teachers with full-time, eight-week summer research experiences over two consecutive summers. The program aims to strengthen inquiry-based science teaching, advance teacher and mentor professional development, and build lasting connections between secondary and higher education. Applications must be submitted by eligible colleges, universities, or qualified research institutions in the Trust’s funding region, with mentors holding active research programs and appointments in natural science departments. Participating teachers must be full-time middle or high school science educators with relevant academic preparation, or pre-service science teachers; applications are by invitation and due May 1 annually.
