Periodontal Research Group Research Award (BSODR)

About this program

The Periodontal Research Group of the British Society for Oral and Dental Research (BSODR) runs a prize competition awarding £250 (first oral), £150 (oral runner‑up), £150 (first poster) and £50 (poster runner‑up) for original research with application to periodontology. Eligible work includes original basic laboratory, animal, or clinical studies primarily conducted in the UK and not previously published (papers under consideration acceptable). Applicants must be postgraduate students or early‑career researchers within five years of obtaining a PhD, hold BSODR or IADR membership, be responsible for at least 75% of the work, be available to present in person, and previous PRG prize winners are ineligible. Submit a 300‑word abstract (indicating oral and/or poster preference) by the stated deadline to the PRG secretary, Dr Richard Holliday (richard.holliday@newcastle.ac.uk); submissions must be made by the researcher applying and shortlisted entries will be invited to present at the PRG meeting.
