About this program
The Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Research Alliance, supported by Pershing Square Philanthropies, awards the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Prize to advance innovative, high-risk cancer research and collaboration among academia, industry, and the business community. Each selected scientist receives $250,000 annually for three years, along with access to research, networking, and entrepreneurship programs. The prize is intended for early-career cancer researchers at institutions in the United States; the 2027 application portal opens September 21, 2026, and Letters of Intent are due October 26, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. ET.
