Physician Investigator Research Award Program

About this program

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation offers Physician Investigator Research Awards of up to $10,000 to support Michigan physicians conducting pilot, feasibility, or small evidence-based research projects addressing urgent health issues, health inequities, social determinants of health, and health care access, quality, or cost. Applicants must be Michigan-based physicians affiliated with nonprofit organizations; BCBSM and affiliate employees and their immediate family members are ineligible. Applicants first submit a concept paper, and invited proposals must include a research narrative, detailed budget, timeline, participant enrollment information, collaborator letters, and documentation of nonprofit status.
