About this program
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation’s Picker Gold Challenge Grants for Residency Training support projects that advance humanism and compassionate care in graduate medical education. Selected proposals receive $15,000–$25,000 through a restricted grant to the applicant’s institution for projects lasting up to 18 months. Applicants must secure a 100% match through financial resources, committed staff time, approved contributions, or a combination thereof, documented in a Letter of Support from a Department Chair or Designated Institutional Official; funds may not cover overhead or indirect costs.
