About this program
The SIR Foundation offers Pilot Research Grants of up to $35,000 for 12 months to support hypothesis-driven pilot or seed projects advancing interventional radiology and patient care, particularly those generating preliminary data for future national funding applications. Eligible applicants must be current Society of Interventional Radiology members and full-time interventional radiology faculty or postdoctoral researchers with an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree at institutions in the United States or Canada. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents; visa holders must provide institutional assurance of project completion. Applications are due January 15, 2027, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
