PKD Foundation Research Grants

About this program

The PKD Foundation offers Research Grants to support basic, translational, clinical, epidemiological, and data-analysis studies addressing autosomal dominant or autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease. Awards provide $120,000 in direct costs annually for two years ($240,000 total), with an optional third year for eligible Young Investigator Award applicants; special consideration may be given to research conducted in Canada or Australia. Applicants must hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent and a faculty appointment or equivalent by the award date, and may submit only one proposal per cycle; fellowships are not eligible. A letter of intent is required by August 17, 2026, and only applicants invited after review may submit full applications, due January 19, 2027.
