Poultry Graduate Student Travel Grant

About this program

American Association of Avian Pathologists (AAAP) offers the Poultry Graduate Student Travel Grant to support outstanding MS and PhD thesis students conducting poultry-health research to attend the AAAP Annual Meeting, reimbursing up to $1,500 for meeting-related expenses (receipts required). Applicants must be enrolled in a thesis-requiring MS or PhD program with research involving poultry health, may not be in veterinary/PhD dual-degree or veterinary residency/internship programs at AVMA‑accredited colleges, and preference is given to students without a veterinary degree (BVM or equivalent holders may be considered). Required materials include a current CV, official graduate transcript, a ≤500‑word narrative on career goals, the abstract for the oral or poster presentation, and a supporting letter from the major professor or another graduate committee member who is an AAAP member in good standing; recipients must present at the Annual Meeting and incomplete applications will not be considered.
