Prince George's County Community Gardens Mini Grant

Chesapeake Bay Trust, in partnership with Prince George’s County, is offering the Prince George’s County Community Gardens Mini Grant to fund the creation and expansion of community gardens that adopt regenerative practices and support the County’s Climate Action Plan. Grants provide up to $5,000 for gardens ≤400 sq ft and up to $9,500 for gardens >400 sq ft; matching funds are encouraged but not required. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, Prince George’s County municipalities, watershed organizations, community associations (including HOAs), faith-based organizations, schools and institutions, and Green Teams. Applications are submitted via the Trust’s online portal on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted (preferred submission dates are listed); applications must be received at least eight weeks before the proposed project start and completed projects are not eligible for reimbursement.
