Prince George's County Rain Check Rebate Program

About this program

Chesapeake Bay Trust, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment, offers the Rain Check Rebate Program to reimburse Prince George’s County residents who install stormwater-reducing practices that improve local water quality, including rain barrels, cisterns, urban tree canopy plantings, rain gardens, pavement removal, permeable pavement, and green roofs. Applicants must be county residents and provide receipts and proof of installation per program guidelines; rebate amounts vary by practice and applicant. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; the program awarded $269,155 in rebates in FY2023 (181 approved applications, 571 projects) and has awarded over $1.25 million since inception.
