Program Mini Grants (Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities)

About this program

The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH) offers quarterly Program Mini Grants to support small-scale public humanities programs that connect Louisiana audiences with qualified humanities scholars to explore local and state history, foodways, folkways, music, and culture; programs must be free and open to the public. Awards up to $1,000 require a 1:1 cash or in-kind match, funded activities must occur within six months of award notification, and eligible formats include lectures, scholar-led film discussions, author/artist talks, and panels. Eligible applicants are humanities-based organizations within Louisiana’s 64 parishes—501(c)(3) nonprofits, public-facing higher-education institutions, state or local government agencies, and state or federally recognized Native American tribal governments—with first-time public program hosts encouraged to apply. Applicants must provide EIN/UEI and IRS determination documentation; unallowable costs include performing arts productions, scholarships/fellowships, capital improvements, institutional operating support, and research or publications intended primarily for scholarly audiences.
