Publication Grant

About this program

The Society for the Preservation of American Modernists (SPAM) offers Publication Grants averaging $1,200 to support articles or books on American modernist artists or the history of public and private arts support in the United States; however, the program is currently suspended. Independent scholars, writers, students, professionals, and academics may apply, with preference given to applicants presenting a clear, realistic publication plan. Applications must include a résumé, budget, project description, writing sample, publishing plan, and completion timeline; when active, submissions are due annually by March 15.
