R3 grant program (Scaling, Spread, and Implementation of Health Interventions)

About this program

The Donaghue Foundation’s R3 grant program awards $80,000 plus 10% indirect for 18-month projects that help researchers prepare proven health interventions for real-world scaling, spread, and implementation by funding access to experts in dissemination, scaling, and sustainability. The program is not intended to support new research—projects must be primarily focused on implementation and scale (research may be a minor component)—and explicitly welcomes expertise from disciplines outside traditional research funding. Eligibility is limited to current and past Donaghue grantees who must demonstrate that prior Donaghue funding directly led to the intervention or evidence-based practice proposed; awards may be used to augment other grants.
