About this program

Region One Athletic Fund, administered by the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, provides grants of $100–$5,000 to enhance and enrich the physical and athletic experiences of students in the Region One School District (northwest Litchfield, CT). Eligible applicants include students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community members submitting projects endorsed by the appropriate school administrator, and projects must be over and above what local, state, or federal funds normally cover. The Fund supports activities such as special coaching, summer training/camps, transportation, movement or master classes, coach training, equipment/uniform purchases, and facility improvements; applications are reviewed on excellence, impact, and feasibility and recommended to the Foundation board for final approval. Apply via the Fund’s application portal by October 15, 2026; grants are generally not awarded retroactively and the Fund does not support discriminatory organizations.
