About this program
The Richard and Louise Varco Scholarship Program, administered by Scholarship America and sponsored by the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, supports students pursuing education at accredited colleges or vocational schools in Minnesota. Awards of up to $5,000 are non-renewable but eligible students may reapply annually. Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates, current postsecondary students, or displaced workers planning full-time enrollment in Minnesota for the 2025-2026 academic year, with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applications open in December, with notifications in April and payments in August.
