Robert L. Lipton Memorial Fund

About this program

The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) offers the Robert L. Lipton Memorial Fund to support physics teachers who are new to high school physics through reimbursement of up to $1,400 for travel, lodging, and registration at two consecutive national meetings, along with mentoring and virtual professional learning community participation. Applicants must be K–12 teachers with fewer than 10 years of teaching experience, AAPT members, and demonstrate leadership potential or experience. Awardees must serve on a community and present at least one of the two national meetings; applications are due August 15 annually.
