Roshen N. Irani Research Training Grant

About this program

Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) funds the Roshen N. Irani Research Training Grant to support one-year pediatric orthopaedic research projects, awarding up to $10,000 per grant with two awards made annually from a $1.1 million endowment. Projects may address diversity, equity, and inclusion in pediatric orthopaedics or be led by a trainee from an underrepresented group on any pediatric orthopaedic topic, with priority for work that promotes broad participation or fills underrepresented areas in the field. Eligible applicants are residents, medical students, or pediatric orthopaedic fellows; a POSNA Candidate Active or Active member in good standing must serve as mentor, no letter of intent is required, and current POSNA grant recipients (except microgrant holders) generally may not apply until their existing awards are completed and final reports accepted.
