Rudolph Masciantonio Grants for Student Teachers

About this program

The Society for Classical Studies offers Rudolph Masciantonio Grants for Student Teachers to provide up to $3,000 in living-cost support during a semester of practicum or student teaching in Latin or related Ancient Mediterranean subjects. Funds are distributed in two installments and are intended to help replace income lost during the placement. Applicants must be enrolled in a state-approved educator licensure program and be entering a qualifying K-12 practicum within six months; SCS membership is not required. Applications require a financial-need statement, placement and program details, one recommendation letter, and a second reference, with deadlines of May 31 and November 30.
