SAH American Architecture and Landscape Field Trip Grants

About this program

The Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) funds the American Architecture and Landscape Field Trip Grants to support docent-led architecture and landscape field trips and youth design-education programs for underserved K–12 students (grades 3–12) across the U.S. Grants are awarded to nonprofit partners—such as architectural and cultural heritage organizations, house museums, creative placemaking sites, schools of architecture with youth outreach, and arts/architecture high schools—that provide hands-on learning about architecture, parks, neighborhoods, and city centers. Applicants must serve under-resourced communities; priority is given to community-based programs that foreground marginalized histories and reflect students’ lived experiences. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with submission deadlines of June 1 and December 1 and award notifications issued within six weeks.
