SARC Career Development Award

About this program

The Sarcoma Advancement Research Consortium (SARC) offers $100,000 Career Development Awards, supported by philanthropic donations, to advance sarcoma research by early-stage physicians and scientists; a second year may be funded based on satisfactory progress and available resources. Applicants must hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent and be within five years of their first faculty appointment as an instructor or assistant professor, or in the final year of a clinical or postdoctoral fellowship. Proposed research must be conducted at a U.S. or Canadian institution, applicants must commit at least 50% effort to research, and those with substantial NIH support such as a K08, R21, or R01 are ineligible; indirect costs are not permitted.
