Schallek Award

About this program

The Medieval Academy of America offers the Schallek Award to support graduate student research in medieval studies, including thesis or dissertation projects and related research expenses. Applicants must be members of the Medieval Academy by January 15 and submit applications by February 15. Materials must include a project proposal detailing its significance, methodology, expenses, and prior or anticipated funding, along with a recommendation letter from a graduate professor. Awardees conducting research at the British Library may optionally be considered for an additional $2,500 fellowship from the American Trust for the British Library.
