Senior Colgate Prize

About this program

Colgate Oral Health Network, administered by the British Society for Oral and Dental Research (BSODR), sponsors the Senior Colgate Prize, awarding £500 to the best oral presentation by an early‑career dental researcher and £5,000 to the winner’s department to support postgraduate research; the winner will be invited to represent BSODR at the Hatton Awards at the next IADR General Session. Applicants must be postgraduate students or early‑career researchers within five years of obtaining a PhD who have personally performed at least 75% of the work, with the research primarily carried out at a UK university or research establishment; previous winners are ineligible and work must not have been published prior to submission (papers under consideration are acceptable). Entrants must be fully paid BSODR/IADR members and available to present at the meeting. To apply submit a 300‑word abstract via the meeting abstract submission site; if selected for prize consideration you must email a ~1,500‑word manuscript (single PDF, standard IMRaD format with figures and a front page listing names/affiliations) to Dr Lynne Bingle within two weeks of abstract acceptance — manuscripts and oral presentations are reviewed and approximately eight applicants are invited to present in the prize session.
