Simon and June Li Leadership Transformation Fellowship and AAJA ELP Stipends (2025)

About this program

AAJA, with a gift from Simon and June Li, will award two inaugural Simon and June Li Leadership Transformation Fellowships to cover tuition for members accepted into eligible journalism leadership programs and will provide stipends to AAJA Executive Leadership Program (ELP) participants who lack newsroom training budgets while expanding ELP coaching capacity. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis; examples of eligible programs include Columbia’s Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program, Poynter’s Media Transformation Challenge, CUNY’s Executive Association in News Innovation and Leadership, and AAJA’s ELP. Applicants must be AAJA members and must first be accepted into one of the eligible programs (priority given to Asian American and Pacific Islander media and newsroom leaders); support for other professional programs may be considered.
