Small Grants for Small Children

About this program

Adirondack Community Foundation offers Small Grants for Small Children to advance the Adirondack Birth to Three Alliance by funding small awards (typically $100–$500) that support high‑quality care for children birth to age 3, including licensing-related expenses, tuition assistance, professional development, equipment/supplies, and educational resources (containment equipment such as car seats, highchairs, playpens, strollers, and swings are not eligible). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via the Foundation’s Online Grants Manager; in‑home providers should enter N/A for Tax ID and use "LastName-Your Child Care Name" in the Organization field, and in‑home awards are distributed through partner agencies (ACAP, Childcare Coordinating Council of the North Country, or Southern Adirondack Child Care Network) by county. Eligible applicants are NYS certified/licensed child care centers and in‑home family providers operating in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, and north Warren counties within the Adirondack Park boundary, or on the Akwesasne Saint Regis Mohawk Reservation, and must be in compliance with NYS Office of Children and Family Services inspections.
