Social Support Grants

About this program

The Sidney R. Baer, Jr. Foundation offers Social Support Grants to charitable organizations supporting people affected by schizophrenia and bipolar disorder through social support, education, advocacy, and efforts to reduce stigma and misconceptions. Eligible applicants must be U.S. organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) tax-exempt status, with programs primarily focused on schizophrenia or bipolar disorder and administrative expenses limited to 7% of the grant. Applicants must submit a letter of intent between November 1 and March 1; invited organizations may submit a full application by May 31.
