Society for Church Archaeology Annual Research Grant

About this program

The Society for Church Archaeology offers an Annual Research Grant of up to £1,500 to support research in any area of church archaeology, covering research expenses such as travel, materials, accommodation and specialist fees (not for capital equipment, the applicant’s salary, or university tuition). The scheme accepts pilot projects, discrete components of larger projects, and small stand‑alone projects and is open to academics, professionals, non‑professionals, early‑career researchers and postgraduate students. Applicants should be Society members (or agree to join if successful), complete the provided application form and Notes for Applicants, and email their application to Dr Kristján Ahronson at kristjan.ahronson@alumni.utoronto.ca by 30 November each year; decisions are announced in January.
