South Central Iowa Breast Cancer Fund - Patient Financial and Transportation Assistance

About this program

The South Central Iowa Breast Cancer Fund (A Place to Turn), administered by Mission Cancer Foundation and supported by local Breast Cancer Awareness efforts, provides up to $500 annually for nonmedical expenses (rent, mortgage, utilities, telephone, transportation) and $50 gas or rideshare cards to help adult breast cancer patients access cancer-related medical treatment in Ringgold, Decatur, Union, and Taylor counties. Applications may be submitted online, by mail, email, or fax and are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants must be adults undergoing active medical oncology treatment, reside in one of the four counties, meet the household income threshold (up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level), accept the grant restrictions, and provide income verification, expense bills, and a health statement signed by their medical care team.
