Specific Defect Research Program

About this program

The Jeffrey Modell Foundation’s Specific Defect Research Program supports novel studies examining the mechanisms, clinical presentation, and health impacts of specific immune-system defects. Awards provide up to $50,000 over two years ($25,000 annually) for direct project costs, with opportunities for international collaboration using JMF’s global patient database. Applicants must submit a ProposalCentral application, a 3–4-page research proposal, and a CV or biosketch of fewer than five pages; applications are reviewed quarterly.
