About this program
The American Osteopathic Foundation offers the Sterling K. Welch, DO, Scholarship to support Osteopathic medical students with significant financial need, strong academic achievement, and a commitment to Osteopathic medicine. Established in 1965, this scholarship awards $2,000 annually to one student per qualifying College/School of Osteopathic Medicine (COM/SOM), branch campus, and location. Eligible applicants must be OMS I, II, or III in good standing, demonstrate financial need, maintain academic standing in the 50th percentile, participate in volunteer service, and hold current AOA membership. Nominations are accepted from March 3, 2025, through October 31, 2025, with notifications by December 31, 2025.
